An Elgin woman is accused of drunken driving and leaving a 3-year-old home alone while she did it.

A northwest suburban Elgin woman was arrested Saturday for drunken driving and child endangerment.
Kiwana Perkins, 25, of the 20 block of Oxford Drive, was arrested at 3:27 a.m. at the intersection of Kings Road and Amarillo Drive for alleged driving under the influence and endangering the life of a child, police said.
According to a police report, after Perkins was pulled over she told officers that she had a 3-year-old sleeping at home by himself. Officers went to the home and found the child along in the residence.
