Elgin Police Officer Among 2 Injured in Crash

    An Elgin police officer was one of two people injured in a crash early Sunday in the northwest suburb.

    The squad car and another vehicle collided around midnight at Dundee Avenue and River Bluff Road, Commander Dan O’Shea said.

    The officer was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, O’Shea said.

    The driver of the other vehicle, a woman, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
