With Fourth of July weekend on the horizon, family-friendly fun is on the minds of many.
Thankfully, 11 of the most kid-friendly restaurants in the U.S. are located in the Windy City, according to a report released by OpenTable, a website that provides online restaurant reservations.

The ranking was based on more than 1.4 million restaurant reviews submitted by OpenTable diners between June 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016, highlighting the top 100 restaurants for families traveling to Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C.
According to the study, the featured restaurants provide "a welcoming atmosphere for children and their families in addition to food that provides a satisfying experience."
“These top kid-friendly rated restaurants appeal to every member of the family, from toddlers with adventurous taste buds to tweens and teens intent on Snapchatting their way through delicious vacation dining experiences - not to mention hungry parents in need of fine, fun fare and craft cocktails to refresh and recharge after sightseeing," Caroline Potter, OpenTable's chief dining officer in a statement. "Travelers of all ages can enjoy local flavors served against a backdrop of welcoming hospitality and an energetic atmosphere at any of these honorees."
