Two firefighters injured battling house fire in Lisle

Two firefighters were injured in Lisle Tuesday night after coming in contact with downed power lines while fighting a blaze.

Firefighters from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District responded to the house fire at 4616 Yackley Avenue around 8 p.m. where people may have been trapped inside when they came into contact with the electrical source.

Paramedics examined the injured firefighters after the fire was extinguished. Their conditions were not available Wednesday morning.

No word on the cause of the fire.
