The all-clear has been given in Plainfield after a domestic disturbance at a home put two nearby elementary schools on lockdown.

Authorities surrounded a house on the 14100 block of South Budler Road after receiving a call from a "frantic" woman," said Will County Sheriff's Department spokesman Ken Kaupas.

A man in the house, the woman's husband, later surrendered.  Officials entered the home to make sure there was no longer any threat.

Officials have not yet released the names of the couple.  The man was not arrested but is going through an evaluation at a nearby hospital.  Officials said he works with a university's law enforcement agency.

The disturbance prompted Plainfield School District 202 to lock down two area schools, but officials stressed there was no danger to students or staff.

Students have since been released to their parents.

No one was injured, officials said.
