A CTA bus driver came under the hammer quite literally when a disgruntled rider beat the man with hardware.
Just after 3 p.m.Tuesday afternoon, a male customer argued with the bus driver about the fare on Route 53A South Pulaski, CTA spokesperson Wanda Taylortold WBBM NewsRadio.
The customer went from obstinate to violent, striking the male driver, said Taylor.
To make matters worse, the attacker struck the CTA employee with a hammer, according to unconfirmed reports, says WBBM NewsRadio.
Why do we need to overturn the gun ban? Apparently, people are already carrying weapons around with them.
Other bus riders pinned down the attacker and called police, Taylor reported. The man was arrested, and the driver was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, according to WBBM NewsRadio.
What a tool.
