Cubs, Sox Unveil Special Holiday Hats and Jerseys

Over the years, Major League Baseball has made a big push forward in terms of the special edition hats and jerseys that their teams will wear during a season, and on Monday, they revealed the six newest additions to that collection.

The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox will join the other 28 big league teams in wearing the special edition uniforms for Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, and the All-Star Game, and the league revealed which charities will benefit from the new threads that both teams will don.

Here are the Cubs' six new hats:

Here are the White Sox hats:

There are two different All-Star Game combinations, with teams wearing special retro-style jerseys as an homage to the San Diego Padres' original uniforms. The Padres will host the Midsummer Classic in July at Petco Park.

As for the rest of the jerseys and hats, their sale will support a variety of charities. The Mother's Day hats and jerseys, which mark the first time the league has celebrated the holiday with special uniforms, will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer awareness and research.

The Memorial Day and Independence Day uniforms will benefit the league's Welcome Back Veterans charity initiative.

The blue Father's Day jerseys will be sold to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Big h/t to Sports Logos, which posted the special uniforms of all 30 teams on their website and Twitter feeds so you can see how each team will look when these holidays roll around.
