Cubs Begin Selling Postseason Tickets to Season Ticket Holders

The Cubs currently hold a three game lead for the final NL wild card spot

The Chicago Cubs are primed to make the postseason for the first time since 2008, and as the excitement builds, the team has begun offering playoff tickets to season ticket holders.

According to the Chicago Tribune, ticket prices will range from $45 for upper deck reserved seats to $160 for club boxes in the infield for the first two rounds of the playoffs. If the Cubs make it back to the NLCS for the first time since 2003, tickets will go for anywhere from $70 to $250.

If a World Series berth is secured (which would be the team’s first since 1945), tickets will cost between $175 and $350 for season ticket holders.

The Cubs currently hold a three game lead over the San Francisco Giants for the second wild card spot in the National League, but they trail the Pittsburgh Pirates by four games for the top wild card seed.

If the season ended today, the Cubs would begin the postseason in Pittsburgh for a one game playoff to determine which team advances to the National League Division Series.
