Unruly behavior is generally encouraged at a haunted house, but police were called in when things got out of hand Portage Park over the weekend.
A couple was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at the Catacombs haunted house at Saint Pascal Church.
Police say the pair were shouting obscenities at the people waiting in line.
Carlos Rivera, 25, was also charged with aggravated battery for allegedly punching an off-duty officer who was working security.
Rivera was being held on a $500,000 bond.
