Cops made an arrest in the New Lenox slay.

Cops in New Lenox made an arrest today in the slaying of Lance. D. Goebel.

It was the nephew, Will County Sheriff's officials say.

Jason N. Gonzales, 23, is accused of killing 48-year-old Goebel during a home invasion.

Cops have been looking for Gonzales since Thursday, when they found Goebel shot dead in his home on the 22700 Block of South Cedar Road in New Lenox Township. They tracked him down through his cell phone signal.

Gonzales, who reportedly has stockpiled survival gear, including ammunition and police uniforms and badges, has a history of mental illness.

Cops will charge him later today.
