Cop Drives Distraught Man More Than 100 Miles to Detroit After Pulling Him Over in Ohio

When a police officer pulled Mark Ross over for speeding home he was distraught.

He had just received word that his 15-year-old sister had been killed in a car accident in Detroit, so he and a friend jumped in a car and headed toward Michigan—but neither of the men had valid driver’s licenses and Ross had a warrant out of for his arrest, InsideEdition.com reports.

But Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. David Robison didn’t reach for his handcuffs, instead, upon learning the tragic news, he prayed over Ross and drove him more than 100 miles to a coffee shop in Detroit.

“Everybody knows how much I dislike cops but I am truly [grateful] for this guy,” Ross said in a Facebook post now shared more than 108,000 times. “He gave me hope.”

The post includes a photo of Ross with his arm around Robison.

Ross told InsideEdition.com that Robison has been invited to his sister’s funeral.
