Construction work is expected to cause minor delays on the Brown, Blue and Red lines this week.  The CTA is advising passengers to allow extra travel time.

Brown Line trains will run on the same track between the Western and Addison stations from 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday while structural maintenance is being done at a nearby building, according to the CTA’s website.

Passengers must board and exit all trains on the Kimball-bound side of the platform at the Damen, Montrose and Irving Park stations.

Blue Line trains in both direction will operate on the same track between the Western (Forest Park branch) and UIC-Halsted station from 10 p.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday while crews perform track maintenance, the CTA said. The work will continue at the same time Monday night into Tuesday morning.

As a result, passengers must board and exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Illinois Medical District and Ranice stations late Sunday and early Monday and on the O’Hare-bound side of the platform at the same stations the following days.

Additionally, Blue Line trains will operate on the same track between the Kedzie-Homan and Austin stations from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 4 a.m. Wednesday during track maintenance, the CTA said. The work will continue at the same times the next two nights, ending early Friday.

Passengers at the Pulaski and Cicero stations must board and exit all trains on the O’Hare-bound side of the platform during the construction.

Red Line trains in both directions will operate on the same track between the Garfield and Sox-35th Street stations from 11 p.m. Sunday until 4 a.m. Monday while crews perform track maintenance, the CTA said. The work will continue during the same time every night this week, ending early Friday.

As a result, passengers must board and exit all trains on the 95th Street-bound side of the platform at the 47th Street station, the CTA said.

Minor delays are expected.
