Clergy Rally to Save Chicago Homeless Shelter

Clergy, activists and supporters of a Chicago homeless shelter plan to hold a rally Monday to keep it open.

The 72-bed shelter, located at The People’s Church of Chicago in the city's Uptown neighborhood, is scheduled to close in December due to a lack of state funding.

It serves homeless men and has helped more than 300 in the past year.

The rally is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. outside the church at 941 W. Lawrence Ave.
