Chief Keef's most famous song was recorded while under court-imposed home confinement. Now he has 60 days in jail to work on more hits.
According to DNAinfo.com, the 17-year-old South Side rapper received the two-month sentence in Cook County juvenile court Thursday for probation violation. Keef -- whose real name is Keith Cozart -- violated his probation by holding a gun in a video for Pitchfork Media last summer.
The rapper wasn't able to impress the judge with his lyrics Thursday, pleading for another chance and breaking down in tears after receiving the sentence, according to the web site.
Cozart, 17, was on probation for pointing a gun at police officers in 2011.
Over the past year, the rapper has managed to sign a major record deal and released a full-length CD in December, but he's also come under fire for joking on Twitter about the shooting death of an 18-year-old rival rapper, Joseph "Lil JoJo" Coleman.
More bad news for the rapper Thursday, Allhiphop.com reports that Cozart is being sued for $75,000 by a Washington, DC company for missing concert in London.
