    The rapper Chief Keef was evicted Tuesday from the north suburban home he was renting, a lawyer representing the landlord told the Sun-Times.

    A Lake County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman said officers conducted an eviction of the Highland Park homeand a safety search for occupants of the residence at the home the rapper rented.

    Mario Hess -- also known as Blood Money -- was just signed by Interscope Records about two weeks ago, according to his manager and cousin, Renaldo Reuben Hess. Michelle Relerford reports on the NBC 5 NEWS TODAY.

    Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, had owed about four months of rent and had agreed to pay the landlord $11,300, the attorney, Robert Kahn said.

    “He said he was going to pay him and he didn’t,” Kahn said.
