Chicago Suburb Makes Mock “Portlandia” Intro Ahead of Season Premiere

The video replaces the beauty shots of Portland in the show’s opening credits with scenes from the quiet suburban village

In preparation for the season premiere of hit IFC show “Portlandia,” one Illinois town has decided to film its own version of the series’ intro.

The fourth season of “Portlandia,” a satirical comedy series filmed in Portland, Ore. that stars Carrie Brownstein and former SNL comedian Fred Armisen, is set to debut Thursday.

The show’s intro features a series of scenes from around Portland played to the song “Feel It All Around” by Washed Out.

Apparent fans of the series, the village of Homewood, a southern suburb of Chicago, filmed a mock 39-second video of the intro titled “Homewood Awaits Season 4 Portlandia.”

The video replaces the beauty shots of Portland in the show’s opening credits with scenes from the quiet suburban village.

“We’re pretty pleased with it,” Mary Jane Maharry from Brava Public Relations said in a release. “It’s only 39 seconds too!”
