Chicago Springs Forward with Warmer Temps

A big warm-up is expected Monday that will shoot temps into the mid-50s and near 60 for some areas

Things are looking up for weather-wary Chicagoans.

With sunny skies and average temperatures Sunday, the city’s weather finally appeared “normal” for this time of year.

Overnight lows Sunday will bottom out in the mid-30s ahead of a big warm-up expected Monday that will shoot temps into the mid-50s and near 60 for some areas.

Things could get a little messy mid-week as Tuesday morning rain could turn to snow later in the day, with the potential for accumulating snowfall.

Wednesday’s temperatures stay chilly following the precipitation with highs in the mid-30s.

But temperatures return to normal Thursday and Friday with highs in the 40s.
