Chicago Rabbi Accused of 2006 Sexual Assault

A Chicago rabbi is being accused of molesting a teenage boy.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that 45-year-old Larry L. Dudovitz, of the West Rogers Park neighborhood, has been charged with one count of criminal sexual assault.

Dudovitz was arrested Saturday and was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

According to court records, Dudovitz is accused of abusing the boy, who was 15 at the time, while he was sleeping in the rabbi's home in 2006.

A Cook County judge questioned prosecutors about why it took so long for charges to be brought.

Prosecutors responded that relatives of the victim were initially unsure whether they wanted to pursue a case.

There was no current phone listing for Dudovitz, and it was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
