Chicago Police lined the streets late Sunday to honor a fallen officer killed in a crash.

The 44-year-old sergeant was off-duty when he died, police said. He apparently had a heart attack while riding a motorcycle on LaGrange Road in west suburban Willow Springs. No one else was injured when the motorcycle crashed.

Dozens of officers showed up at the Medical Examiner's Office before midnight to pay their respects to the fallen officer. They saluted the ambulance carrying the officer's body as it proceeded to the facility.
