Travel Mag Ranks Chicago Pizza Higher Than New York

Travel & Leisure awarded number two spot to Windy City in 2013 survey

Deep-dish pizza reigns supreme once again.

Tourists ranked Chicago as the second best city to get pizza, according to Travel and Leisure's America's Favorite Cities survey for 2013. The Windy City fell behind Providence (for some reason), but managed to beat out New York's thin crust giant.

Take that, Jon Stewart.

Pizza isn't the only victory for Chicago this year. We were the number one place for sports bars and professional sports, which was probably in part attributed to the ongoing ruckus in Wrigleyville and our awesome hockey team. Visitors also enjoyed the city's architecture and "cool buildings," as well as our wealth of luxury stores.

However, no city is perfect. Chicago fared poorly in the winter, weather and Valentine's Day categories. But rest assured--Chicago is still a better place to spend the Hallmark holiday than Alaska.
