A Chicago native was among the victims in Monday's Washington D.C. Navy Yard shooting.

Kathy Gaarde, 62, was born and raised in Chicago but moved to Washington 38 years ago. She worked as a financial advisor.

Gaarde is being remembered as a loving wife and mother as well as an avid hockey fan.
