Chicago Firefighter Rescued From Burning Building

Firefighter taken to hospital with a fractured arm

Chicago firefighters rescued one of their own Friday morning from a vacant apartment building on the city's South Side.

Investigators said the firefighter fell through a floor into the basement of the building at 73rd Street and Martin Luther King Drive.

The man was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital with a fractured right arm and is expected to be OK.

It's not clear what started the blaze.
