Looking for fine-dining on a budget? Chicago Chef Week, which runs through Friday, can help with that.
More than 85 restaurants in the city and the suburbs are offering a $22 three-course lunch or a $44 four-course dinner. The annual event hopes to draw “bargain-hunting Chicagoans to try out the latest culinary hotspots and revisit old favorites.”
Although similar to Chicago Restaurant Week in terms of dining deals and prices, Chicago Chef Week is specifically geared towards celebrating the finest chef-driven restaurants in the area.
As opposed to Restaurant Week which takes place for two weeks in the winter, Chef Week happens annually in the spring over the course of five days and has roughly a third of participating restaurants.
Diners can place reservations at restaurants serving a multitude of cuisines.
Participating restaurants include RPM Italian in River North, Dove’s Luncheonette in Wicker Park, Lockwood in the Loop, Bread and Wine in Irving Park, Nana in the South Side and Bistro Bordeaux in Evanston.
