Chicago Beaches Open as Temps Dip Into Low 60s

With temperatures feeling more like October than May, the opening of Chicago’s beaches brings a glimpse of summer to city residents.

The beaches opened Saturday and will remain open from 11-7 p.m. through Labor Day, Sept. 3.

The weekend’s forecast will most likely keep beach-goers from sun bathing with temps struggling to reach into the 60s and chances of showers expected for Saturday and Sunday.

Memorial Day temps warm into the 70s, but chances of showers and storms could disturb some holiday celebrations.

Last year's Memorial Day weekend temperatures stretched into the 80s, providing prime swimsuit weather, but this year's forecast wasn't so lucky.
