A well-known Chicago fashion designer is accused of raping a Streeterville woman in her home.
Prosecutors say Elhadji Gueye, 49, who is better known as "Haj," forced a 29-year-old woman to have sex after she invited him to dinner in her apartment on Aug. 27, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Gueye, who is married, is accused of making another plate of food and walking out of the apartment following the attack, according to prosecutors.
But Gueye's attorney claims the woman is trying to extort Gueye, and that the two have had a previous romantic relationship.
The woman claims she invited Gueye and his two daughters to dinner, but he was the only one who showed up.
Gueye appeared in court Wednesday and was being held on $100,000 bond on a charge of Criminal Sexual Assault.
The designer has dressed celebs such as the late actor Bernie Mac, NBA player Tony Parker and former boxer Mike Tyson.
