Shelter Says Cat Burglars Made Off With ‘Fuzz' the Kitten in Backpack

A suburban humane society is asking the public for help identifying two alleged cat burglars seen stuffing a kitten into a backpack on video before leaving the shelter.

The girls are seen putting 15-week-old “Fuzz” into a napsack Thursday afternoon before walking out of a playroom at the Will County Humane Society, the organization said in a Facebook post.

“We have footage below showing proof that they walked in, stuffed Fuzz in their backpack and walked out with our little man,” the post reads. “They left on bikes so we know they live locally.”

The humane society says it filed a police report and asks anyone with information about the girls or Fuzz’s location to call the Will County Sheriff’s Investigation Bureau at 815-727-8574.

The humane society said it has several leads but still doesn’t know where Fuzz might be.

Fuzz is a male Tuxedo cat, not neutered and is microchipped as well as “very friendly” and “snuggly,” the humane society says.
