Blue Line service was shut down for about two hours early Friday morning after a car flipped over onto the train tracks at the Austin station.
The driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee was taken to Loyola University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries after she apparently crashed through a dead-end barrier and flipped the car.
The Jeep jumped the freight train tracks to land onto the CTA tracks at the Austin station.
Service was restored by 5:16 a.m. but experienced delays between Forest Park and Pulaski/Congress stations, the Chicago Tribune reports.
