The cab driver found shot in his cab over the weekend in Evanston has died.

Leodis Blackburn, 50, of the 5900 block of West Iowa Street was found early Sunday morning shot in the head. The cab driver for Best Taxi was on life support before doctors pronounced him dead Wednesday at Saint Francis Hospital.

Evanston police found Blackburn around 2 a.m. Sunday after his cab crashed into a parked car on the 500 block of Elmwood Avenue.

Evanston police detectives along with the North Regional Major Crime Task Force are investigating the shooting. Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said Sunday it didn't appear he was robbed.
