Almost as quickly as it reappeared on CVS store shelves the Obama Chia pet is gone from its Chicago locations.
The drug store chain didn’t give a reason for pulling the clay creation for a second time, but the Chia’s creator is stumped.
I can't think of any reason a store like CVS would want to stop selling it," Joe Pedott, who gave one of the heads to the president earlier this year, told the Chicago Tribune. "If the consumer wants it, what's the problem?" he said. "You're giving him an Afro. If you don't want it, cut it off. He had an Afro when he was younger."
A CVS spokesman said they haven’t had any complaints about the product.
