    This latest stretch of cold weather is prompting many people to curl up under several blankets, but some local businesses are trying to lure customers outdoors with special deals.

    River North's Barcito restaurant rolled out a special Frost Bites promotion -- all-you-can-eat tapas for $18 from 6-8 p.m.

    A hot, steaming bowl of ramen soup is on sale for $10 at Urban Belly.

    Officials at Hot Tix say there's plenty of cold-weather deals to be had for local theatre, including half-priced tickets for Blue Man Group and several other local productions.

    At The Second City, mention the code "chiberia no" to get half-priced tickets for mainstage shows on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

    If you want the best view of our frozen city, head to the top of the John Hancock Center. One child under the age of 12 accompanied by a an adult can get in free on Tuesday or Wednesday this week.

    The Intercontinental Hotel is also offering 50 percent off to use its indoor swimming pool.

    The Art Institute of Chicago has free admission through Feb. 12.
