Burglar Identified by Poor Fashion Choice

Police: Man stole twice from same store in same outfit

In an attempt to disguise themselves, some people wear dark colors or camouflage.

This accused criminal decided to wear a memorable red plaid.

Donnell Gentry, 40, was arrested on charges of burglary after he was caught wearing the same red shirt described by crime witnesses, reports Chicago Breaking News.

At 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, police responded to a call of a burglary in progress at a Streeterville liquor store.

Upon arrival, police say a window of the business had been broken out. Witnesses gave police a description of the burglar, saying he wore a red plaid shirt.

Didn't he ever watch Star Trek? Wearing a red shirt is never a good idea.

It didn't take long for police to find Gentry, still wearing his not-so-lucky shirt. He was carrying two bottles of Grey Goose vodka with him, police said.

It turns out Gentry had stolen vodka from the same store back in March, wearing that same red plaid, according to WBBM NewsRadio.

Maybe he should hit up a clothing store next time.
