Chicago Bulls forward Ronnie Brewer pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges for allegedly driving under the influence, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office said.

Brewer, who finished the 2013-14 season with the Chicago Bulls, was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content.

The charges stem from a traffic stop on Feb. 19 in Beverly Hills.

Authorities allege Brewer’s blood alcohol concentration was almost twice the legal limit.

Further details surrounding the incident were not immediately available, but the Beverly Hills Police Department is investigating.
