Bullets Enter Home, Kill Teen

The boys' bedroom is in the front of the house

Bullets pierced through a house killing a 14-year-old boy and wounding another boy near Lockport Monday night.

The shooting happened in the 400 block of Fairmont Ave. in the unincorporated Will County around 8:15 p.m. Monday, said Will County Sheriff's office spokesman Ken Kaupas.

The gunfire hit the boys standing in a bedroom in the front of the house, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The 14-year-old's mother was in another part of the home at the time of the shooting, said authorities.

Both victims were transported to Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.
