Missing Chicago Brothers Found After Running Away

Boys disappeared playing basketball Sunday in an alley

Two young brothers who disappeared while playing basketball in an alley on the city's South Side were found safe Monday morning.

Corey Colbert, 9, and his brother, 6-year-old Christopher, were found with a family acquaintance a few miles away, the boys' mother said Monday morning.

The janitor of the family's building told NBC Chicago the boys ran away, apparently because they didn't want to clean their room.

The brothers were last seen in the area of 1700 E. 68th St. Sunday night. They were playing basketball with a group of other kids when they went missing.

Corey was wearing blue jeans and no T-shirt with gym shoes. Christopher was wearing a sleeveless white T-shirt with blue athletic shorts and gym shoes.
