A 10-year-old boy was listed in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle on a busy basketball court in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood Wednesday evening.
The boy was hit by the vehicle around 5:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of East 75th Street, according to police and fire officials.
The boy was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, according to Fire Media Affairs.
A police source said a person of interest is in custody. The cause of the crash was not immediately known as of Wednesday night.
