Christopher Valdez was killed in a “possible domestic situation” at the family’s Trumbull Avenue home, authorities said.Valdez was charged with concealment of a homicide and child endangerment resulting in a death, police said Sunday after the couple's arrest.

Police said the boy was dead when they arrived at the home about 2:10 p.m. Friday. He appeared to have died from “multiple blunt force trauma,” police said.

Christopher Valdez was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m. at Holy Cross Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

A Saturday autopsy determined he died from multiple blunt force injuries and child abuse, and the death was ruled a homicide.

A relative of Cesar Ruiz, sister Msaria Castillo, said she can't sleep at night because of what happened to Christopher.
