Chicago police officers pulled a body from Lake Michigan near Navy Pier Friday morning.

Employees of a boat cleaning service in Lake Michigan spotted the body just north of Navy Pier around 7:20 a.m. and notified police.

The Police Marine Unit responded to the call and pulled out the body of a man. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said the man is believed to be in his 40s.

The cause of death is unknown. An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday.
