A man who disappeared after visiting a suburban cemetery was found dead in a vehicle Friday night on the Northwest Side.
Donald Ritt, 63, of the 5200 block of North Liano Avenue, was found around 7:15 p.m. in the backseat of a vehicle in the 6300 block of West Strong Street, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
A spokesman for the medical examiner’s office said the body was decomposed, but further details surrounding the incident were not immediately available.
Ritt was last seen June 1 leaving the Acacia Cemetery in Norridge, according to a missing person alert issued Wednesday.
The alert said Ritt was driving a 2008 Mitsubishi four-door sedan with an Illinois license plate and was in "poor health."
Area North detectives are conducting a death investigation.
