“The Benchwarmer Bandit” struck again Saturday, robbing his fourth North Side bank in less than two weeks, officials said.

Saturday's robbery happened around 10 a.m. at a Lake View Citibank branch, 3128 N. Ashland Ave., according to the FBI.

A weapon was not shown in the robbery, authorities said.

Officials believe the suspect is the same man who robbed three TCF Bank branches-- on Monday morning at 2940 N. Ashland Ave., on March 21 at 4355 N. Sheridan Rd., and March 16 at 3531 N. Broadway.

The suspect, dubbed the “Benchwarmer Bandit” by the FBI, is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 25 and 30, between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet tall with brown hair, brown eyes and facial hair. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket, the FBI said.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the suspect's arrest. He was described as “armed and dangerous” in an FBI alert.

Anyone with information should contact the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
