A baby girl survived after a semi slammed into the SUV she was riding in, throwing her from the car.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday at Ohio and Dearborn streets in Chicago's River North neighborhood, police said.

The 11-month-old was rushed to Lurie Children’s Hospital where she is in stable condition.

The driver of the semi is waiting to find out if he will get a ticket.

The semi apparently blew a red light before the crash, but the incident remains under investigation.
