Baby Found Dead in North Side Home

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is investigating the early Sunday death of a 1-month-old girl.

Aurora Dolan, of the 4700 block of N. Beacon Street, was found unresponsive at her home and was pronounced dead at 3:23 a.m. at Children’s Memorial Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police responded to the home at about 2:30 a.m., News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

DCFS is investigating an allegation of neglect, according to spokesman Jimmie Whitelow, and said the department has had no prior contact with the family.

The results of a Sunday autopsy are "pending further studies," the ME's office said.

Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
