At Least 7 Shot Overnight in Chicago

At least seven people were wounded in shootings in Chicago overnight.

The first shooting happened around 10:18 p.m. in the 200 block East 51st Street in the Bronzeville neighborhood, according to the Chicago Tribune. A 46-year-old woman was shot in the buttock and suffered a graze wound to her head.

The second shooting, around 10:54 p.m., involved a 31-year-old man being shot in the ankle and the side of his mouth in the 7800 block of South Cregier Avenue on the city's southeast side.

Around 12:49 a.m., a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg as he sat on a second-floor porch in the 8800 block of South Exchange Avenue on the city's southeast side.

Less than an hour later, a 20-year-old man was also shot in the leg in the 700 block of East 75th Street in the Park Manor neighborhood on the south side.

Around 2:21 a.m., someone shot another 20 year old in the leg in the 5900 block of South Talman Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

On the Near North Side, a 30-year-old man was shot in the leg at 2:51 a.m., police said.

Lastly, reports indicate a 31-year-old man was shot in the back while walking on the 2900 block of West Harrison Street in the Lawndale Avenue on the West Side.

As of this morning, no arrests have been made.
