Police-Involved Shooting
Lawndale
Chicago Police shot a man who allegedly pointed a gun at officers early Wednesday in the Southwest Side’s Lawndale community, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.  The man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Tenth-Commandment Violation
Downers Grove
A 24-year-old man allegedly seen walking between homes carrying a television was charged with residential burglary, the Chicago Tribune reported.  The neighbor, Devin Wisniewski, was charged and linked to a similar incident.

High-Priced Coffee
Downers Grove
They're not yet calling it a crime wave, but police in Naperville, Downers Grove and Wheaton say they'reinvestigating the thefts of five tip jars from four Starbucks stores in two days, the Glen Ellyn Sun reported.  Police didn't say how much was stolen.
