A man who had just finished walking his dog was shot and wounded after fighting off three suspects -- one of whom may have been also hit with the bullet -- during an attempted robbery on the West Side early Wednesday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Teen Run Down
Niles
A simmering Internet squabble over a girl prompted a teenage boy to run over another teen outside a Niles shopping center — leaving the 16-year-old Maine East High School student gravely injured, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. A 16-year-old from Glenview was arrested and charged in juvenile court with two counts of aggravated battery.

Cop Impersonator
Uptown
A 29-year-old parolee was arrested after approaching officers conducting a traffic stop, flashing a police-like badge at them, and asking them if they needed any help, the Chicago Tribune reported.  He later admitted that he wasn't an officer and was arrested.
