CTA Driver Injured

A CTA bus driver was seriously injured Thursday night when shots were fired on a South Side street, shattering his bus' windshield and causing him to be cut by glass, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.  Two nearby businesses were also damaged by gunfire.

Shooting Leads to Chase
North Lawndale
A van with three people inside crashed and rolled over while trying to run from police who were pursuing them in connection with a shooting that left a man wounded, the Chicago Tribune reported.  The trio was arrested.  The shooting victim was taken to a hospital.

Teen Shot
South Chicago
A 14-year-old girl suffered a graze wound to the leg while walking to a bus stop in a gang- and drug-infested neighborhood Wednesday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported, citing police.  The girl told police she heard gunshots and felt pain. She was in good condition after the shooting.
