Three Shot
South Shore
An investigator for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office and two men helping him detain a burglary suspect were shot Wednesday when the suspect's accomplice appeared and opened fire, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.  The three men were listed in critical condition.

112 in a 45
Naperville
A 20-year-old Naperville man was arrested Tuesday night after he was clocked on his motorcycle at 112 mph in a 45-mph zone, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing police.  Eric Miller was taken into custody and released on bail.

High School Fight
Sherman Park
A student was hit in the head with a blunt object during a fight near Hope College Prep High School, the Chicago Tribune reported.  He was taken to the hospital in good condition.
