Theraflu Theft

A shoplifter who allegedly tried to steal Theraflu cut a Walgreens security guard's hand with a box cutter -- causing him to have to get 20 stitches, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.  The attacker is in custody on charges of aggravated battery and retail theft.

Body Found in Trunk
Hermosa
The body of a 22-year-old woman was found in the trunk of a vehicle parked in an alley Monday night, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.  Police said the body had "trauma to the head" and at least one gunshot wound.

Felony Drunken Driving
Back of the Yards
A 44-year-old man was going over twice the legal speed limit when he plowed into a fire truck as it was backing into a a fire station, the Chicago Sun-Times reported, citing police.  The man was charged with felony aggravated DUI, misdemeanor DUI and driving without a license.
