Husky Mistaken for Coyote
Montgomery
A man is alleged to have shot and killed a resident's dog after mistaking it for coyotes running after his cats, the Beacon-News reported.  The man has been charged with criminal damage to property and discharging a firearm.

Man Shot, Killed
South Shore
A man was fatally shot early Thursday in a South Side neighborhood recently plagued by violence, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. Police responded to a call and found the 23-year-old man unresponsive on the sidewalk.

Shooting
Little Village
A male victim was shot and seriously wounded in the Little Village neighborhood Wednesday night, the Chicago Tribune reported.  The man was found with gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
