A shoot-out happened after an armed robbery on the South Side, says police.

Chicago Police arrested two men involved in a shoot-out on the South Side overnight.

Police responded to an armed robbery call in the 7800 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood just before 1a.m. Friday, Chicago Police News Affairs said.

The suspects started shooting at the officers who then returned fire. No one was hurt.

Detectives found a weapon at the scene, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Charges for the two men are pending.
