Ann Lurie Lists Gold Coast Mansion for $18.75 M

Chicago philanthropist plans to sell 18,590-square-foot Gold Coast home

Chicago philanthropist Ann Lurie on Saturday listed her 18,590-square-foot Gold Coast mansion for $18.75 million.

Lurie, the widow of entrepreneur Robert Lurie, has owned the mansion for nearly 20 years, according to Chicago Tribune. She also owns a home in Montecito, Calif.

The 12-bedroom home was built in 1891 and has original stained glass, an elevator, nine fireplaces, a library and a sun room as well as a finished basement and a six-car garage. The property has an annual tax bill of $134,000.

Lurie has given away millions of dollars and most recently donated $100 million to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, located in Streeterville.
